What is Sheaf Valley Aquarist Society?
We are a group of likeminded people who enjoy keeping fish and sharing our experiences with others. We have regular group activities attending shows & auctions, visiting retailers and other places of aquatic interest.
Club meetings are held on the second Monday of every month at The Pheasant Inn, Barnsley Rd, Sheffield Lane Top, Sheffield, S5 0QG at 19:30, newcomers are welcome. Refreshments/bar snacks are available from the bar. Meetings generally end at about 21:00.
2009 will see the Club hosting our auction and one Open Show. We are also running our first league of Club table shows covering eight categories throughout the year. We have four guest speakers lined up to give us a talk on their specialist subjects this year too.
The Club is nothing without it's members and there's always room for more! You're welcome to attend one of our meetings and introduce yourself to the Club.
Over the last eighteen months we have expanded our tropical fish house, extended our outdoor pond area and recently opened a new Marine Department. Work continues as we look to double our retail space.
